Terms and Conditions for Participation
Terms and Conditions for Participation
By registering for and participating in the Advanced Neurodegeneration Training Course “Bridging Science, Practice, and Care in Neurodegenerative Disorders and Dementia”, 7-11 October 2025, all attendees agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms ensure a safe, professional, and productive environment for all participants.
1. Registration and Payment
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. All fees must be paid prior to the start of the course. The organising committee reserves the right to cancel any unpaid registrations without notice. A confirmation email will be issued upon successful registration.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the organising committee. Full refunds, minus a €30 administrative fee, will be granted for cancellations received by 1 August 2025. Cancellations made between 2 and 20 August 2025 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after 20 August 2025 or for non-attendance. Participant substitutions may be accepted with prior notice. In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled by the organisers, registrants will receive a full refund of all fees paid, but the organisers are not responsible for any additional costs incurred, such as travel or accommodation.
3. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to maintain professional and respectful conduct throughout the event. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. The organisers reserve the right to remove any participant who violates this code without refund.
4. Changes to the Program
The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the course schedule, speakers, venue, or content due to unforeseen circumstances. Any substantial changes will be communicated to participants as early as possible.
5. Use of Images and Recordings
Photographs and video recordings may be taken during the event and used for documentation and future promotion of similar educational activities. Participants who prefer not to appear in any media must notify the organisers in writing prior to the event.
6. Liability and Insurance
The organisers are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings incurred during the course. Participants are strongly advised to obtain their own travel and health insurance.
7. Visa Requirements (Non-EU Participants)
Greece is a member of the European Union and part of the Schengen Area. Participants from countries outside the EU/Schengen Zone may require a visa to enter Greece. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to check visa requirements, apply for the appropriate visa in time, and ensure they have all necessary documentation for entry. Failure to obtain a visa will not be considered a valid reason for late cancellation or refund outside the stated policy.
8. Data Protection
Personal data collected during registration and participation will be handled in accordance with the Course’s Data Collection and Privacy Policy and applicable GDPR guidelines.
9. Force Majeure
The organisers are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government regulations.
10. Attendance
Attendance will be monitored, and attendees are expected to participate in all sessions of the course to receive the certificate of attendance.
